Job Description

Redwire Space is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Manager to lead our team in Littleton, CO. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, managing talent, and overseeing testing for our groundbreaking projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Test Engineering across Redwire Space Sensors, Littleton, CO.
  • Manage a team of Test Engineers and Technicians, including hiring, performance, mentorship, training, and career growth.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring all aspects of the tests are executing to plan.
  • Manage reviews of test requirements and data, and track program and cap-ex budgets for Test Engineering.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, failure investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in proposal activity by developing execution plans, developing estimates for task execution, and reviewing project costs.
  • Communicate status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions to stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and coordinate with engineering leadership to evaluate new technologies to expand testing capabilities.
  • Interface with higher levels of management for information flow and act as a primary spokesperson for Test Engineering.
Requirements
  • B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field with a minimum 8 or more years' of aerospace/space industry experience.
  • Experience leading one or more sections or a small department, with 2+ years managing technical teams.
  • Experience in project planning and execution, including New Product Introduction from requirements to product manufacturing and test.
  • US Citizenship required; Littleton, CO based.
  • Hands-on test engineering experience, including EMI/EMC, Shock, Vibration, TVAC.
Desired Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and technical and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable effective collaboration, status reporting, and documenting analysis and results.
  • Experience with AS9100 accreditation and Project Management Certification.
  • Effective conflict-resolution and communication skills, with ability to mentor engineers.
  • Experience with anomaly investigations and demonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvements.
