Key Responsibilities of the LPN - House Supervisor:
- Engage in and contribute to various multidisciplinary meetings.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
- Assist in the development and promotion of policies and procedures.
- Act as a charge nurse during staffing shortages.
- Conduct regular rounds on the unit to provide direct supervision of staff through active engagement.
- Monitor unit safety and ensure a secure environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the unit.
- Complete audits as directed by the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
- Support charge nurses with clinical tasks such as admissions, treatments, and order management.
- Facilitate and manage monthly nursing staff meetings.
- Provide hands-on assistance and training to nursing staff as required.
- Participate in staff development and address disciplinary matters as necessary.
- Assist in the creation and updating of resident care plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct follow-ups as needed within the unit.
- Address clinical concerns in collaboration with staff, families, and physicians.
Qualifications for the LPN - House Supervisor:
- Must possess a valid Maryland LPN License.
