Geriatric Nursing Assistant Job Description

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant with IntelyCare, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to residents in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), and other post-acute settings. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, observing residents' general health and welfare, and reporting any concerns to supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate nursing care to residents
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' health and welfare
  • Assist with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Check vital signs and report any abnormalities to supervising staff
  • Provide a clean and safe environment by cleaning surfaces, changing linens, and removing hazards
  • Transport residents to and from their beds and wheelchairs and other locations throughout a facility
  • Offer companionship and support to residents, promoting their sense of dignity
  • Communicate effectively with visitors, family members, and staff throughout shifts
Requirements:
  • Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
  • Familiarity with nursing care procedures and related terminology
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
