As a Highway Maintenance Worker/Senior, you will be responsible for operating trucks and various light equipment, transporting crews and materials to work sites, and maintaining the right-of-ways and roadsides using a range of tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks and light machinery to facilitate maintenance tasks.
  • Manage the mowing of right-of-ways and upkeep of shoulders and roadsides.
  • Install and maintain signage, fencing, and guardrails.
  • Apply surfacing materials for roadway repairs and maintenance.
  • Control traffic around work zones following safety protocols.
  • Inspect and maintain assigned equipment and facilities.
  • Respond to snow removal and emergency situations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. A Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes and tanker endorsements is required within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating heavy machinery, a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement, and basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and respond to emergencies promptly.
