**Job Summary**

Channel Personnel Services is seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced process control strategies to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and integrity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop, support, and implement advanced process control strategies to provide operational improvements, reliability, and integrity.
  • Monitor and analyze repetitive maintenance problems, determine root causes, and initiate equipment or procedural changes to correct.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects criticality analysis (FMECA) to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Resolve system problems related to distributed control systems (DCS) and other automated production equipment.
  • Review specifications and recommend replacement for obsolete electrical and instrumentation components, following change control procedures.
  • Develop plans to improve efficiency, reduce labor and material costs, and control budgets.
  • Implement changes to the SAP Plant Maintenance System to ensure seamless integration with existing processes.

**Requirements:**

  • BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years' experience in process control, automation, and electrical engineering in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with equipment installation, preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), DCS, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
