About the Role

AFC Materials Group is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance technicians in preventive maintenance, upkeep, repair, and improvement of all facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and Coordinate Maintenance Tasks: Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and develop schedules to meet business needs.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment Issues: Identify and resolve equipment problems, developing solutions to prevent future issues.
  • Conduct Maintenance Inspections: Verify adherence to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Train and Develop Maintenance Technicians: Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff, maintaining records of their training and development.
  • Develop and Lead TPM Program: Implement a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program, including preventive and predictive maintenance, to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Facilities and Grounds Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, including repairs and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • KPI and Metrics Management: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure maintenance performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as experience with maintenance management software.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with maintenance staff, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Certifications and Training: Certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, mechanical, Automation control systems) and experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • OSHA Regulations and Safety Standards: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards, with a 10-hour OSHA training certification preferred.
