Production Manager

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee the 2nd shift operations in Crystal Lake, IL. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations, focusing on converting while supporting slitting, laminating, and press departments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet production goals, working closely with operators and setup technicians.
  • Participate in equipment setups, ensuring timely quality inspections and production efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity.
  • Implement 5S, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and flow improvement tools.
  • Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production processes effectively.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within a production environment.
  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong focus on production and team leadership.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience managing machine operators and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently during off-shift hours and collaborate with other departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Background in packaging, printing, plastics, or food production industries.
