Ab Initio Software Engineer

Infosys is seeking an Ab Initio Developer: Engage in the requirements gathering process and develop comprehensive requirements documentation. Contribute to the formulation of application architecture documents to ensure deliverables align with architectural standards. Produce high-quality code outputs and assist colleagues in quality assurance processes to ensure design specifications are fulfilled. Generate user documentation for the designated modules. Oversee validation efforts for the assigned modules across various testing types, including Functional, Integration, System, and User Experience testing. Aid in the development of the "Go Live" strategy and coordinate activities outlined in the plan. Conduct root-cause analysis for any issues that emerge post-implementation and devise suitable solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be within commuting distance of Whippany, NJ, or be open to relocating. This role may involve travel within the United States.
  • A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the field may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology is essential.
  • Proficient hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL tools is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the complete implementation of data warehouses and data marts.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Oracle/Teradata, SQL, and Unix shell scripting.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture principles.
  • Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, and the modeling of unstructured data.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Banking sector is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment involving both Business and Technology teams.
  • A willingness to work in a global delivery context is desirable.
