HRA/DEPT OF SOCIAL SERVICES is seeking a highly skilled Executive Director of Strategy and Human Resources Innovation to join their team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of human resources and strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief People Officer to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and improve employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Chief People Officer on human resources matters
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and prioritize business objectives
  • Manage the flow of information to ensure the right information reaches the right people in a timely manner
  • Assist the Chief People Officer in maximizing their time by focusing on areas where they add the most value
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic or community organization operating in the area of social services
  • One year of experience at the administrative or managerial level
Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to chair and co-chair staff meetings and interunit partnership meetings
  • Demonstrated skill in proactively building relationships and influencing staff at all organizational levels
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of civil service rules and regulations, and human resources policies, procedures, and practices
What We Offer

HRA/DEPT OF SOCIAL SERVICES offers a competitive salary range of $81,083.00 – $148,866.00 and a comprehensive benefits package.

This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.

As a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.

New York City Residency is not required for this position.
