Job Summary:

The Child Development Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children. This includes planning and implementing engaging activities, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of infants and toddlers
  • Provide individualized attention and care to each child
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education
Requirements:
  • Infant and Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate Credential)
  • Associate in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 hours in Early Childhood Education
  • 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare facility or public/private school or early childhood facility or completion of an early childhood degree program with practicum(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPR and First Aid Training
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in assigned databases, software, and systems
  • Interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Spanish fluency is helpful but not required
