Mainframe Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team at SPECTRAFORCE. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing complex application software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop IT systems, devising new sources of data and developing new approaches and techniques.
  • Develop new code based on projects received from CMS, supporting existing systems, and working on maintenance items as necessary.
  • Support customers by running reports, providing lists, and answering questions as they come in.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design quality technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree.
  • 6 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience.
  • Strong analysis skills, self-starter, and ability to lead/teach others.

Work Environment:

Customer-focused, project-oriented programming environment with a fast-paced, multi-platformed environment that may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

The Team:

Team size of 15 people, expanding to 25 people, with 3 scrum teams, including JAVA developers, Python developers, and mainframe developers.
