Support Center Analyst I

About the Role:

As a Support Center Analyst I at Shelter Mutual Insurance Company, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance to employees and agents across the organization. Your expertise will be essential in resolving computer system questions and problems, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist employees and agents with computer system questions and problems
• Maintain current knowledge of software from various vendors used by Shelter Mutual Insurance, including mainframe and PC applications
• Develop and maintain expertise in data communications equipment, personal computers, and printers
• Provide clear and concise technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Utilize problem management software to track trends and resolve issues

Requirements:

• Ability to understand mainframe, network, and personal computer hardware and software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to research and troubleshoot application and hardware issues
• Data processing experience and/or providing experience to users of data processing services
• Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge obtained through in-house courses, vendor seminars, and industry conferences
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation
