The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, is in search of a proficient and seasoned General Cardiologist - Staff Physician to enhance our healthcare services at the UHealth Sole Mia facility. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical care and consultative services to patients with diverse cardiovascular conditions
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, formulate treatment plans, and oversee patient management
  • Perform and interpret various diagnostic assessments such as echocardiograms, CT scans, MRI scans, and nuclear cardiology studies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise and implement patient care strategies
  • Provide leadership to the cardiology team, including mentoring and educating trainees and junior staff
  • Engage in academic and educational initiatives, encompassing teaching medical students and conducting research
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Cardiology
  • Active medical license from an accredited institution
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality care to patients with various cardiovascular conditions
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, CT scans, MRI scans, and nuclear cardiology studies
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience in academic and educational initiatives, including teaching and research
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and hospital leadership
  • Exemplary professionalism and superior patient engagement skills
