About the Job

The Corrections Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to inmates within a correctional facility. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Dispense medications and monitor patient compliance
  • Refer patients to medical evaluation as needed
  • Provide patient education and support
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Collaborate with facility staff and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care
Requirements
  • Active, current, and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice
  • At least one year of experience in a correctional setting or similar environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
