About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist II to join our team at Lear Corporation. As a key member of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as protecting the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain and update environmental permits, data, and reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Lead the plant safety committee in ergonomic evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement sustainable controls and mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and support to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Safety, or Ergonomic Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental and safety laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
