Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Solutions, Verticals, and Business Value Marketing. This individual will be instrumental in developing Glean's marketing strategy, focusing on specific departmental and vertical use cases, and creating tools and methodologies to effectively communicate the business value of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate Glean's strategic approach to identifying and prioritizing departmental and vertical solution use cases, assessing market potential and directing investment in solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans for each solution and vertical area, detailing target personas, messaging tailored to each solution, outbound lead generation strategies, and partnership initiatives.
  • Create a complete suite of persona-specific messaging for each solution area, including sales presentations, website content, whitepapers, demonstrations, and demand generation materials.
  • Initial focus areas will include Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, and HR/Knowledge Management.
  • Establish a product, partnership, and competitive strategy for each segment, ensuring Glean is well-informed about the competitive landscape and the necessary features and integrations for success.
  • Curate a collection of Glean prompts, workflows, actions, and tools that enhance Glean's adoption within targeted use cases and verticals.
  • In addition to solutions marketing, this role will focus on marketing strategies aimed at CIOs, including messaging, targeted demand generation activities, events, and essential assets.
  • Develop a comprehensive ROI methodology to articulate the business value of Glean, addressing both broad organizational use and specific departmental ROI cases, and train the field organization on executing business value selling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in product marketing or product management.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading teams in product and technical marketing.
  • Ability to work hands-on while simultaneously building a small team.
  • Experience in solutions and vertical marketing.
  • Proficiency in ROI-based selling and tool development.
  • Familiarity with key applications and systems relevant to target departments and verticals, including Engineering, Support, Sales, and Knowledge Management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex concepts and influencing stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience collaborating closely with software development teams and familiarity with technical B2B SaaS products.
  • Strong ability to balance and prioritize competing demands and business objectives.
