Job Description
As a pivotal member of our executive team overseeing finance and accounting, you will significantly influence strategic, operational, and financial decisions that shape the company's future. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing the finance function while collaborating closely with team members across various departments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with the CEO to drive organizational success.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales and CEO on tracking sales and revenue, including the formulation and implementation of go-to-market strategies.
  • Design compensation and commission frameworks that align with market objectives and sales goals.
  • Establish pricing and discount strategies.
  • Oversee contract reviews and management.
  • Support human resources functions.
  • Engage in comprehensive planning and execution of projects across the organization to enhance business performance both externally and internally.
  • Collaborate with teams in product development, sales, and operations to ensure financial strategies are in sync with corporate goals.
  • Monitor market trends, both public and private, to assess company performance against competitors and identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with the broader leadership team and the Board of Directors to establish and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Foster ongoing training and development for team members.
  • Provide strategic insights on initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiencies in support of long-term planning.
  • Introduce innovative approaches and metrics to the finance function to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
  • Possess a strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Develop a financial framework that supports our rapid growth trajectory.
  • Actively participate in the leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally to achieve strategic goals.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience as VP or Head of Finance in SaaS startups with an ARR between $10M and $50M.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS metrics, KPIs, and business fundamentals.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to dissect complex issues and derive data-driven solutions.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative.
  • Experience in scaling finance and accounting teams in high-growth settings.
