Clinical Psychologist

The Autism Center Psychologist provides diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder. This includes gathering history through interviews with parents/caregivers and review of prior records, administering standardized intellectual assessments, and scoring and interpretation of these psychological assessment measures. The Psychologist also provides feedback to parents and caregivers regarding evaluation results, diagnosis, and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Administer standardized intellectual assessments and score and interpret results
- Provide feedback to parents and caregivers regarding evaluation results, diagnosis, and recommendations
- Engage in care coordination and treatment planning on behalf of evaluated clients and their families
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to patients with known ASD
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Psychologist/license eligible
- Minimum of one year experience providing standardized diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Minimum of one year experience providing individual and family psychotherapy for children and adolescents
