Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process, working closely with patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength. This position requires a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, plans of care, and discharge plans for patients.
  • Establish realistic discharge plans incorporating patient and/or family member goals.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans, selecting appropriate treatment activities to progress patients towards goals.
  • Revises goals/plan of care with patient/family input, provides ongoing patient/family education and training, and provides discharge instructions, follow-up, and referral to community resources as appropriate.
  • Acts as a referral source for staff, families, physicians on services and equipment related to rehabilitation services.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment:

This position is a day shift, Monday through Friday, with a 4x10 hour schedule. The contract is for 8 weeks, and the candidate will work with a Physical Therapist Assistant.
