Overview

Amedisys is a leading provider of home health, hospice and high acuity care, dedicated to helping patients and families navigate the complex healthcare system.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel RN to join our team, providing much-needed care to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively throughout assigned POD, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of patients' home care.
  • Collaborate with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans, educating families on patient condition, needs and care.
  • Perform head to toe physical assessments, check vital signs and manage medications, administer and maintain catheters, and complete documentation timely and accurately.
  • Supervise LPNs and HHAs, regularly communicating patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
Qualifications
  • Able to travel 100% of the time throughout the company by plane, train, or automobile.
  • One year of nursing experience, current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work, and current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
