Job Summary:

The physical therapist assistant plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process, working closely with patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength. This position requires a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide physical therapy interventions, such as exercises and modalities, to patients
  • Document patient progress and communicate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in physical therapy assistant studies or related field
  • Current certification as a physical therapist assistant (PTA) or eligible for certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy assistant studies or related field
  • Experience working in a physical therapy setting
  • Certification in a specialty area, such as pediatrics or geriatrics
