Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assembly and configuration of specialized sound, audio, visual, and live streaming equipment, including sound mixers, monitors, and podium setups.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with audio and sound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality for all events.
Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address challenges swiftly and effectively.

  • Review planning documents, establish timelines, and coordinate the setup for various event spaces.
  • Evaluate venues for necessary equipment, gather required items, and prepare the environment accordingly.
Ensure all spaces are ready for use, including unlocking doors, adjusting lighting, and managing window treatments.

  • Transport excess equipment and furnishings to storage areas.
  • Arrange essential equipment and furnishings as per event requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of meeting areas through regular cleaning and waste management.
  • Handle event spaces with professionalism and awareness of surroundings.
  • Manage post-event cleanup, including disposal of waste and catering materials.
  • Reset event spaces promptly, especially during high-demand periods.
  • Follow established protocols and instructions to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of direct supervision.
  • Perform carpet cleaning as scheduled or as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of audio, video, and sound equipment, along with commercial-grade cleaning tools.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to address inquiries from event attendees.
  • Familiarity with equipment and furnishings used in event settings.
  • Ability to interpret reservation forms and setup instructions accurately.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist in inventory management and tracking of supplies.
  • Understanding of sound systems, mixers, microphones, and related equipment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and external partners.
  • Availability to work weekends as needed, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Act as the primary contact during weekend events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


This role does not directly supervise state employees but is responsible for guiding and assisting interns on designated projects. Additionally, this position serves as a group leader and facilitates training for new team members.

Work Environment:
Work involves a mix of indoor and occasional outdoor settings, with a focus on maintaining a safe and comfortable atmosphere.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires constant mobility, including lifting and transporting equipment. All tasks are performed in a standing position, necessitating moderate manual dexterity.
