About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Momofuku Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement financial strategies to maintain the health of the restaurant.
    • Manage food and beverage, supply, and labor costs to increase sales and minimize expenses.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial and personnel-related administrative duties.
  • Food Safety and Planning
    • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
    • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial/local laws, and ordinances.
    • Maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Guest Relations
    • Ensure consistent high-quality service in all areas.
    • Manage all customer service responses and lead guest recovery efforts, including online feedback and guest complaints.
    • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Operational Management
    • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
    • Complete accident or incident reports promptly in the event of a guest or employee injury.
    • Oversee daily operations, including decision making, scheduling, training, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Personnel and Leadership
    • Work with Human Resources and Director of FOH Restaurant Operations to establish staffing pars and oversee interviews, selection, and hiring of all FOH team members.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure FOH staff are knowledgeable about food and beverage menus and company policies.
    • Hold managers and staff accountable for knowing and following all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of General Management experience in the food service industry.
  • Food Handlers Certification required.
  • Exceptional service skills, food and beverage knowledge, and proven ability to effectively manage and mentor managers.
  • Familiarity with local restaurant scene and technical proficiency in restaurant POS, reservation systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • High volume, fast-paced, high-profile restaurant experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven with ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
  • Well-spoken with a strong command of the English language, Spanish speaking is a plus.
