Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at Compass Group Equity Partners. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our food-service employees and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail and ensuring that all food and beverage items are prepared and served in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items, including planning menus and ensuring timely and efficient meal service.
  • Train employees and assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow to ensure seamless operations.
  • Use proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports, including inventory-cash reports, production records, payroll, and time-keeping.
  • Responsible for proper cash handling, including deposits, petty cash, and change funds, as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
  • Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
  • Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees, in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
  • Develop sanitation schedules and ensure food-service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Issue written and oral instructions and help select and orient employees, overseeing staff training in areas of responsibility.
Requirements
  • Previous ServSafe managerial certification and managerial experience are required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train employees.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
