About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Developmental Paraprofessional to join our team at Positive Development for Youth & Families. As a key member of our care team, you will work one-on-one with children and young adults with autism, providing play-based care and support in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one play-based care for a child or young adult with autism
  • Follow a personalized plan for your client, reporting progress each session through our custom mobile app
  • Communicate thoughtfully and professionally with your client's family to ensure they are informed and involved in their care
  • Attend clinical lectures and team meetings to aid in your development and stay up-to-date on best practices in developmental care
  • Join a supportive and collaborative team environment that values your growth and success
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, either as a teacher's assistant, camp counselor, childcare specialist, or in a similar role
  • Interest in a career in child development and a passion for working with children with autism
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
  • Ability to commit to working for Positive Development for at least 12 months
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, regularly get up and down from the floor, and actively play with children
