Developmental Disabilities Support Specialist

**Job Overview**
The Community Coach Support Staff will implement personalized programs to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals. Under the guidance of the Case Manager, you will conduct daily activities that build life skills, track consumer progress, and serve as a key support for their growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement daily activities that align with consumer goals and objectives.
- Maintain thorough documentation of consumer progress, including daily progress notes.
- Attend bi-monthly team meetings and weekly check-ins with supervisors.
- Collaborate with the Case Manager to coordinate and plan daily schedules.
- Serve as a liaison between consumers, families, and external agencies.
- Provide 1:1 support to consumers, fostering positive and empowering learning experiences.
Position Requirements:
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Access to a safe, reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance.
- Ability to lift between 25-50 lbs.
- CPR and First Aid certification (within 14 business days of start date).
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish, Chinese, or Mandarin.
- High school diploma or higher education preferred.
- Experience providing community-based services to individuals with disabilities.
- Creativity in developing tailored programs to meet individual consumer needs.
