About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team at Kikoff Inc. as we continue to innovate and disrupt the personal finance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deploy Machine Learning Models: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to predict default and drive down loss rates.
  • Aggregate and Synthesize Datasets: Gather and combine datasets from multiple sources to inform credit risk modeling and decision-making.
  • Search and Acquire New Datasets: Identify and acquire new datasets to enhance our credit risk models and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Investigate Loss Cases: Analyze loss cases to identify new signals and trends in user behavior and inform model improvements.
  • Conduct Loss Sensitivity Analysis: Perform thorough analysis to understand the impact of changes on our credit risk models.
  • Build Analytical Dashboards: Design and develop interactive dashboards to visualize key metrics and inform business decisions.
  • Automate Model Refresh and Re-calibrating: Develop and implement automated processes to ensure our credit risk models remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Model Maintenance: Monitor model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to maintain model accuracy.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior data scientists to develop their skills and contribute to the team's success.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD in a Quantitative Field: A degree in Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Expert Knowledge of Data Analytics and Modeling: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and machine learning/analytical packages is essential.
  • Deep Understanding of ML Solutions: Extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning solutions from initial concepts to final deliverables.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-Motivated and Collaborative: A self-motivated and collaborative individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2+ Years of Experience in Credit Risk Modeling: Hands-on experience in building credit risk models, preferably in the fintech industry.
  • Attention to Detail and Intellectual Curiosity: A detail-oriented individual with intellectual curiosity to understand user behavior and loss patterns.
