About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Plato Systems. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving the generation and discovery of actionable insights from our unique spatio-temporal data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of Data Scientists and Analysts to drive exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical methods to uncover valuable insights.
  • Work closely with our product managers to understand customer needs and develop data-driven solutions that address pain points.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in data visualization and storytelling to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive process improvement and work with stakeholders to translate high-level business goals into working software solutions and customer-facing outputs.
  • Take initiative, be proactive, and own your work to deliver comprehensive projects.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD in engineering, applied science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in Python and OOP programming.
  • End-to-end experience with data, including databases, querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with networking and Linux environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in working on data products and/or generating actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and project management skills to relay findings and solutions across technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with time-series analysis, statistical analysis, anomaly detection, regression, clustering, and computer vision fundamentals.
  • Phenomenal data visualization and analysis skills with expertise in data visualization tools.
  • Ability to understand large data sets and use appropriate technologies and methodology to manipulate data.
  • Prior experience with modern data technologies stack.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
