Middle School English Language Arts Educator

Job Summary:
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our team at Trenton Middle School. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for inspiring and challenging students to reach their full potential while fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Plan and deliver comprehensive ELA lessons aligned with state standards, ensuring a rigorous and engaging educational experience for students.
- Instructional Strategies: Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting academic success and personal growth.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth, encouraging active participation and collaboration among students.
- Assessment and Feedback: Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to promote academic success and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and address the needs of students, while communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education, ensuring a high level of instructional expertise.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development, supporting data-driven decision making and educational planning.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible to receive an NC Professional Educators License in Middle Grades Social Studies.
- Content Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ELA content and instructional best practices, with a commitment to staying current with educational research and developments.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to Inclusivity: Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity, equity, and social justice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching middle school students, with a proven track record of academic success and student growth.
- Technology Integration: Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom, with a commitment to leveraging technology to enhance the educational experience.
