Position Overview:
This is a part-time role requiring 18 hours of commitment per week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM, with the flexibility to work remotely for approximately 10% of the time (around one day per month).

We prioritize community-driven authorship, integrating various backgrounds related to class, gender, ethnicity, and life experiences to enhance health and vitality through imagination and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated program assistant to collaborate with the Director of Education & Community Engagement in executing on-site programs and managing our arts and healing initiatives.
- Conduct site visits alongside the Director of Education to develop program systems, structures, and evaluation tools for art and healing initiatives.
- Assist in managing the recruitment and oversight of art therapists and teaching artists involved in these programs.
- Regularly monitor arts and healing initiatives and manage the input of evaluation data.
- Participate in the hiring process for art therapists and teaching artists.
- Maintain the offsite programs calendar and manage inventory for program supplies.
- Support the setup and cleanup of studios during program days.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities.
- 1-2 years of experience in non-profit or arts education settings.
- A B.A. in Education, Art, Art History, Museum Education, or a B.S. in Public Health is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation:
This is a part-time position offering $22 per hour for 18 hours per week, with the flexibility of working from home for a limited time.
Physical and Mental Demands:
The role involves significant mental engagement, including reading, writing, planning, and data interpretation. Frequent use of a computer, telephone, and copier is required. The position necessitates the ability to stand, sit, walk, squat, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment:
The role is primarily based indoors within an office and studio setting, allowing for some flexibility to work from home with supervisor approval.
