Position Overview:
Tehachapi Cement, LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Maintenance Reliability Specialist. This role is integral to our operations and focuses on enhancing the reliability of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous enhancement of equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by conducting root-cause failure analyses on significant equipment failures and developing reliability action plans based on these analyses.
  • Oversee the execution of the inspection program to ensure accurate knowledge of equipment condition.
  • Contribute to the annual capital improvement and replacement budget planning for the plant, ensuring alignment with asset management goals.
  • Refine and manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PDM) programs, ensuring collaboration with equipment custodians and maintenance management.
  • Work closely with planners and schedulers to guarantee timely execution of PM/PDM inspections.
  • Analyze and manage all data related to equipment histories to optimize inspection frequencies.
  • Develop solutions for recurring equipment failures and process inefficiencies, aiming to minimize maintenance needs and eliminate failure occurrences.
  • Establish and oversee a lubrication program, ensuring proper lubrication and oil analysis for critical equipment.
  • Participate in the approval process for new installations and major repairs, ensuring maintainability and reliability standards are met.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements in all assigned tasks.
  • Maintain strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Support environmental initiatives through engineering solutions and daily maintenance activities.
  • Engage in on-call rotation responsibilities within the maintenance team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, science, or equivalent).
  • Preferred training/certification in Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), with JDE being preferred.
  • Proficient in developing and managing action plans.
  • Experience in plant operations and/or maintenance is preferred.
