Job Description

Tehachapi Cement LLC is seeking a qualified Reliability Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Reliability: Ensure continuous improvement of equipment overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by conducting root-cause failure analyses and developing reliability action plans.
  • Inspection Program: Ensure the inspection program is executed using proper techniques and knowledge of equipment condition.
  • Capital Improvement: Participate in the capital improvement and replacement annual budget to meet goals and objectives for asset management.
  • Maintenance Program: Develop and refine the preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) program, coordinating with equipment custodians and maintenance management.
  • Data Management: Manage, control, and analyze all data, records, and equipment histories to continually review and refine inspection frequencies.
  • Failure Analysis: Develop solutions to repetitive equipment failures and process losses, implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance.
  • Lubrication Program: Establish and manage the lubrication program and oil analysis, ensuring all equipment is properly lubricated.
  • Approval Process: Participate in the approval of all new installations and major repairs, ensuring their maintainability and reliability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complete all assigned work in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Safety and Health: Complete responsibilities while strictly adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Environmental Programs: Support plant environmental programs and requirements with engineering solutions and day-to-day maintenance activities.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation within the maintenance department.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, science, or equivalent).
  • Training and Certification: Continual Improvement training/certification highly preferred (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented.
  • Organization Skills: Organization skills.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Project and CMMS (JDE preferred).
  • Action Plans: Action plans development and management.
  • Plant Operations and Maintenance: Experience in plant operations and/or maintenance preferred.
