Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and select risk for group insurance cases
- Establish premium levels to ensure profitable case acquisition and retention
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop high-quality risk assessments
- Support the development of an organization focused on high-quality risk assessment
- Utilize technical expertise in risk selection to develop and implement effective underwriting strategies
- Minimum 3 years of group insurance underwriting experience required
- College degree preferred
- In-depth knowledge of disability products, including product provisions, plan design, pricing, and contractual benefits
- Knowledge of the reinsurance process
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry and marketplace trends within the local marketplace for assigned clients
