Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:
  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-informed care that encompasses thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health issues, health education, and planning for patient care. This includes guidance and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sexual practices.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection procedures.
  • Administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, and TB) while providing evidence-based counseling and education to patients and their families regarding vaccinations.
  • Evaluate patients during the intake process.
  • Measure vital signs accurately.
  • Carry out diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screenings.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, including COVID-19 testing.
  • Facilitate patient registration and intake, assist in managing the waiting area, and undertake additional responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.
  • Order necessary equipment and prepare the clinic environment to ensure optimal patient experiences.
  • Contribute to our mission of guiding individuals towards improved health through exceptional patient-focused interactions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in documenting within an Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Capable of taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and conducting point-of-care testing.
  • Hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which includes CPR proficiency and the ability to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Successfully pass a FIT test and utilize the provided respirator mask when required by protocol.

Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification or relevant phlebotomy experience is preferred. If lacking experience, successful completion of internal phlebotomy training is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings is advantageous.

Educational Requirements

The LPN/LVN must possess a full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
