Position Overview
All educators at Uncommon Schools are primarily responsible for implementing our curriculum and ensuring the academic success of our students.

We are in search of dedicated educators who aspire to become exemplary teachers, continuously enhancing their instructional methods through collaboration and focused development within their educational community.

We welcome applications from both seasoned and novice teachers for all grades and subjects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute curricula and activities that align with our rigorous academic standards.
- Analyze student assessments to gauge progress towards these standards and utilize this data to tailor instructional practices.
- Maintain a strong focus on student learning, employing critical and strategic thinking to address diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment that upholds the school's core values and expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, actively participating in our comprehensive staff orientation and training sessions throughout the academic year.
- Engage in and support grade-level initiatives and school-wide events.

Qualifications
Strong candidates for all teaching positions (both new and experienced) will demonstrate the following:

- While a background in education is not mandatory for new teachers, strong candidates should exhibit a passion for working with K-12 students and prior experience in educational settings or urban communities is preferred.

Additional Qualifications for Experienced Educators:
- A proven record of high achievement in the classroom.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting is preferred.
- Valid State Certification and a Master's degree are advantageous but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution prior to employment.
- Candidates must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher by the time employment begins.

Compensation for this Position:
The starting salary for this role is between $55,000 and $71,000, contingent upon various factors including relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools.

We value staff tenure in a role and do not impose salary caps for current employees.
