Position Overview
As an English Language Arts (ELA) instructor for middle school, you will foster a love for literature and cultivate a dynamic classroom environment. Our educators possess a deep understanding of subject matter and are attuned to the socio-emotional development of middle school students. Central to our ELA curriculum is a focus on writing and discussion, empowering students to express their unique voices confidently. Our teachers are equipped with a variety of evidence-based instructional methods that emphasize dialogue, ignite enthusiasm for reading, enhance comprehension skills, and promote student agency. By the end of eighth grade, students will be well-prepared for the academic independence and college readiness required in high school.
Key Responsibilities
1. Instructional Delivery
- Empower students by delivering an inclusive and culturally responsive curriculum aimed at achieving equitable outcomes.
- Guide students in analyzing literary and informational texts, understanding authors' intentions, and engaging in meaningful discussions.
- Create a welcoming and secure classroom atmosphere, encouraging students to express themselves authentically.

2. Data-Driven Instruction
- Collaborate weekly with school leadership to assess and respond to trends in student performance and work samples.
- Implement strategies to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

- Build strong relationships with students to ensure they feel valued and understood.
- Engage with families to provide resources that support their children's educational journeys.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, mentorship, and coaching to enhance instructional practices.
