Overview

Counterpart International is seeking a highly skilled Associate to join our Quality Assurance Unit (QAU). As a member of a team of professionals working under the supervision of the QAU Sr. Director, you will contribute to establishing best practices, policies, procedures, and tools for program implementation.

Job Description
  • Quality Assurance Unit Support:
    • Work closely with the QAU Sr. Director to identify and resolve service delivery challenges, ensuring timely project operational needs are met.
    • Assist in project start-up and close-down, guaranteeing essential tasks are completed on time.
    • Research and compile information for projects as requested by the QAU Sr. Director or other Counterpart leadership.
    • Draft, edit, or update PSU workflows and process maps.
    • Provide administrative and logistical support for QAU training or activities, staff travel arrangements, and consultant agreements.
  • Project Budgeting Management:
    • Collaborate with the QAU Sr. Director and Program Budget Manager to prepare periodic and annual project budgeting exercises, ensuring timely completion within quality standards.
    • Enter actual spending data in project budget trackers and draft financial reports, such as project dashboards, financial summaries, and ad hoc requests.
    • Troubleshoot problems arising in project budget tracking tools and systems, providing guidance to program teams for accuracy and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, political science, international development, education, training, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years' work experience in the international development sector or programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong Internet and computer software skills, including MS Office Suite programs, with Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Cognos, and Deltek, is desirable but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in multicultural settings.
  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and willingness to travel as needed.
