As a GRC Compliance Specialist at Spire Global, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with export controls and security standards. You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and audits to ensure continued compliance with EAR/ITAR, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, and any additional future security frameworks or contractual security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions to maintain our compliance posture.
  2. Security Frameworks: Ensure that our security frameworks and processes align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, including EAR, ITAR, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-171.
  3. GRC Tooling: Design, implement, and manage GRC tools and technologies to streamline processes for risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and incident management.
  4. Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to export controls and security standards, including training and awareness programs for employees.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and legal, to address compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work a minimum of three days per week in our office.
  • You will have access to US export-controlled software and/or technology, and Spire will arrange the necessary licenses if needed.
  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000 USD, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • This role may be eligible for annual equity awards and our employee benefits program, including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental, vision, life, and coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness reimbursement program; and participation in Spire's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
