Job Summary

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Consultant / Asbestos Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting and experience with hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with industrial hygiene projects, including personal air sampling, indoor air quality assessments, noise assessments, mold assessments, and surface wipe sampling.
  • Work with project managers to manage EH&S programs at client facilities and serve as an EHS coordinator for various clients.
  • Conduct H&S audits and inspections, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist with H&S management systems development, including drafting of standard operating procedures and training programs.
  • Manage hazardous waste, including waste characterization, satellite area inspections, and correspondence with government agencies.
  • Develop and conduct site-specific EH&S training programs, including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Conduct job safety analyses and incident investigations for clients.
  • Perform hazardous building material surveys for asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials.
  • Develop specifications and assist with bid solicitation for hazardous materials abatement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Science or Engineering related field.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, including execution and oversight of field work.
  • Report and specification writing, building inspections, and project monitoring experience a plus.
  • Certifications such as HAZWOPER, OSHA 10 Construction Safety, and CT Licensed Asbestos Inspector a plus.
