Job Title: Sleep Disorder Specialist

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Disorder Specialist to join our team. As a Sleep Disorder Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in children.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up sleep studies, ensuring all necessary equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Review patient history and verify medical orders to ensure accurate and effective treatment.
  • Conduct sleep studies, applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted publishing standards.
  • Monitor study-tracing quality, identifying and correcting artifacts to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
  • Assist with interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
  • Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting and desensitization.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Healthcare and/or pediatric experience a plus.
