Job Description

This senior director position is responsible for overseeing business operations and resources of a given project portfolio, defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area, or region. Key responsibilities include people management, project oversight, and sales enablement. The successful candidate will be accountable for fulfilling business goals, meeting budgets, maintaining project/portfolio profitability, and ensuring quality of project delivery while maintaining customer referenceability.

Responsibilities
  • Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve portfolio performance in support of strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for solutions and pricing of proposals and supporting the sales process.
  • Accountable for managing a significant and profitable revenue stream.
  • Typically manages multiple project/program managers and/or senior-level individual contributors.
  • May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience relevant to this position, including 2 years of project or direct line management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix management environment.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus.
  • Selling skills preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
