- Develop and implement resident care goals that maximize individual capabilities.
- Ensure quality care and maintain resident rights at all times.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation between department employees and other departments.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and protect resident rights.
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective staffing of the resident care department and create a work schedule that meets resident needs.
- Assist in ensuring care interventions meet personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each resident.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and State and Federal employment laws and guidelines.
- Assist in ensuring caregivers are appropriately oriented, onboarded, and trained.
- Actively maintain cohesive public and professional relationships with residents, families, physicians, and the community.
