Sterility Department Supervisor Job Description

WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical, medical device open-access capability and technology platform company with global operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterility Department Supervisor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Supervise, plan, and review operations for assigned staff, including responsibility for training, managing, and evaluating staff.
  • Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Sterility department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to maintain facility standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Documentation: Write and adopt SOPs, lab documents, and technical guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and arrange resources of the department to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Work on routine assignments per written procedures, recognizing deviations from accepted practice and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to the overall operations and achievement of departmental goals, working closely with other departments as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Perform job-specific tasks in compliance with applicable regulations, international standards, and WuXi AppTec policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, including 1 year of supervisor or team lead experience.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a team environment, analyze and interpret data, proficient in oral and written communication skills, and proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Physical Requirements: Clarity of Vision, ability to work in a lab setting with exposure to biohazards/chemicals, and ability to perform activities with repetitive motions.
