Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Sterile Processing department as Director of Sterile Processing Operations. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control in our perioperative and clinic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Sterile Processing operations
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to sterilization and infection control
  • Prepare and present operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor and analyze departmental financials to identify areas for cost containment and reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Sterile Processing services with other departments
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Lead and participate in departmental and interdepartmental committees to address problems and facilitate information exchange
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field or a non-healthcare field with a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
  • Five years of supervisory/leadership experience in central sterile processing or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience with budget development and management
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
