Nuclear Medicine Technologist II Job Summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex nuclear medicine procedures of high difficulty. This role is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of nuclear medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and therapeutic interventions.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including sterile technique.
  • Provide direct patient care, including positioning, physiology, and technical factors.
  • Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • Three years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Current licensure and certification in nuclear medicine technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with radiation safety and infection control procedures.
