Chief Revenue Officer for Luxury Hospitality

Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park is a prominent Food & Beverage leader in the city, with an innovative partnership with Richard Sandoval Hospitality for its upscale pan Latin restaurant and tequila bar, Toro. As a luxury hotel, Fairmont Chicago offers spacious guestrooms and spectacular suites, including 84 newly renovated rooms and a luxurious Fairmont Gold Lounge.
The Hotel boasts a superior and distinctive array of amenities and services, including seasonal pop-ups and high-end event spaces. The ideal candidate will be part of the hotel's key leadership team, overseeing Commercial activities to maximize revenue from all areas.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligning with the hotel's goals and brand identity.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the sales and marketing departments, setting clear objectives and tracking performance.
- Prepare and implement annual marketing plans, setting clear objectives and tracking performance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with ownership and provide regular updates on strategic initiatives and performance metrics to instill confidence in the hotel's direction.
- Lead the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets through direct sales, group bookings, corporate partnerships, and events.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, travel agencies, corporate partners, and luxury consortia to drive business.
- Develop and sustain essential relationships within the community, such as with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, to enhance the hotel's positioning.
- Partner with Director of Revenue Management to set pricing strategies and maximize Total RevPAR.
- Coordinate initiatives with Global Sales teams and consultants as appropriate.
- Oversee brand-positioning efforts, ensuring all guest touchpoints reflect the luxury and quality of the brand.
- In partnership with PR and media companies, design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and PR channels to increase brand awareness and guest engagement with the hotel.
- Collaborate with external PR and media agencies to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation in the luxury market.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews to ensure the team remains motivated and focused on achieving goals.
- Promote a collaborative environment, working closely with other departments (e.g., operations, finance) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Use data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts, making adjustments to optimize performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for the executive team and ownership, providing insights on revenue performance, market trends, and ROI.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics, adjusting strategies to meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Previous Experience: Senior leadership role within a similar hotel brand required.
- Extensive Hotel Operations Experience: Required.
- Demonstrated Knowledge: Budget planning and financial controls.
- Computer Literacy: Microsoft Windows applications required.
- Education: University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Reliability: Highly responsible and reliable.
- Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
- Guest Focus: Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Estimated salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
