Job Title: Director of Global Events

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Global Events to lead our event strategy, planning, and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering exceptional event experiences for our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Design and deliver attendee experiences that create lasting positive brand impressions.
  • Manage a team of event professionals and oversee all aspects of event planning, execution, and post-event performance analysis.
  • Identify and negotiate partnerships with venues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage event budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams to ensure events are integrated with broader business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend new approaches to improve event experiences.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in event planning, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with setting event ROI metrics, continuous measurement, and delivering to plan.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful and profitable event strategies for a range of event types and sizes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Up to 25% travel; must be willing to travel internationally.
  • Global event management experience in US, Europe, and/or APAC is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

This is a full-time, exempt role based out of BNI Global LLC's Global Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Background check and references required.
