Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Social Worker to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify client developmental status.
  • Provide direct child development services and activities tailored to the needs of children 0-3 and their families.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with a focus on identifying goals, objectives, and strategies for child development.
  • Complete progress notes, reports, and assessments as required.
  • Provide individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for delays.
  • Assess family and child strengths, resources, concerns, and progress.
  • Act as a service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
  • Provide supportive professional assistance to families and facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work or Certified/Licensed Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) required.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families preferred.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
  • Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries.
  • Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
