Position Overview:

The On-Call Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining safety and security through regular patrols, monitoring premises, and conducting search procedures as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Authorize and monitor the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals to prevent theft and ensure the safety of the premises.
  • Engage with visitors, patrons, and staff to maintain order and protect property.
  • Conduct patrols of commercial or industrial properties to deter safety hazards, theft, violence, or violations of rules.
  • Implement rules, regulations, and procedures while responding to emergencies requiring security intervention.
  • Provide escort services on foot or by vehicle to transport individuals to designated locations or ensure personal safety.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain daily activity logs.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Monitor for any irregular or suspicious activities.
  • Secure the facility and designated areas while enforcing company policies.
  • Investigate incidents and compile reports as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid DC SO/SPO license.
  • Valid US Passport, US Birth Certificate, or Green Card required for Public Trust Clearance.
  • Ability to undergo fingerprinting for Public Trust Clearance.
  • One year of experience in a security role is essential.
  • Open availability for all shifts and schedules is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and navigate stairs daily.
  • Capability to maintain composure during high-stress situations.
  • Dependability, a positive attitude, and adherence to ethical standards are crucial.

Compensation:

Starting hourly wage includes a Health & Welfare Stipend, with a competitive pay rate.
