Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities and provide emotional support
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in a therapeutic setting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
